NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 24th April , 1964
S.O. 1424. In exercise of the powers conferred by clause ( a) of section 9 of the Compulsory Deposit Scheme Act , 1963 ( 21 of 1963 ) , the Central Government , being of the opinion that it is necessary and expedient so to do in the public interest , hereby exempts persons liable to payment of tax under the Income- tax Act , 1961 (43 of 1961 ) , from the requirement as to payment on or before the 31st day of March , 1964 of the deposit referred to in sub - section ( 3 ) or sub - section ( 4 ) of sec- tion 4 of the first mentioned Act and the Compulsory Deposit (Income- tax Payers) Scheme , 1963 , subject to the condition that such deposit is made on or before the 30th day of June , 1964 .
