New Delhi , the 25th April 1967
8.0. 1542.-In exercise of the powers conferred by section 169 of the Repre- sentation of the People Act, 1951 ( 43 of 1951 ) , the Central Government, after consulting the Election Commission , hereby makes the following rule further to amend the Conduct of Elections Rules , 1961 , namely:-
1. Short title. This Rule may be called the Conduct of Elections ( Amendment ) Rules , 1967 .
2. Amendment of Rule 6. In rule 6 of the Conduct of Elections Rules, 1961, for the words, brackets and figures " sub- section ( 3 )( 3 ) of sectionction 9 "9 " the words, brackets and figures " sub - section ( 2 ) of section 9 " shall be substituted.
