G.S.R. 708.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order further to amend the Rice (Punjab) Price Control Order, 1963, namely: —
1. This Order may be called the Rice (Punjab) Price Control (Third Amendment) Order, 1964.
2. In the Rice (Punjab) Price Control Order, 1963,—
(i) In sub-clause (2)(c) of clause 2, for the figures and words "Rs. 1.56 per quintal", the figures and words "Rs. 1.55 per quintal" shall be sub- stituted;
(ii) in the Schedule, for the table of prices, the following table shall be sub- stituted, namely: —

The maximum controlled prices applicable for sale of bagged rice in wholesale quantities as denned in the Rice (Punjab") Price Control Order. 1963, have been decreased by 1 nP. per quintal for B. Twill packing.

G.S.R. 709.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order further to amend the Rice (Madhya Pradesh) Price Control Order, 1993, namely: —
1. This Order may be called the Rice (Madhya Pradesh) Price Control (Fourth Amendment; Order, 1964.
2. In the Rice (Madhya Pradesh) Price Control Order, 1963, for sub-clause (2) (d) of clause 2, the following sub-clause shall be substituted, namely: —
"(d) for rice packed, marked and delivered in new gunny bags containing 0 95 quintal (net) of rice, the prices specified shall be increased by—
(i) Rs. 1-55 per quintal, if the gunny is of B. Twill variety; or
(11) Rs. 1:24 per quintal, if the gunny is of D. W. variety."
