NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 29th May 1964
S.O. 1890.- Whereas the Election Commission has , under clause ( e) of Sec- tion 30 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , appointed the 30th May, 1964, as the date before which the election in the Bhilwara Parliamentary Consti- tuency in the State of Rajasthan is to be completed ;
And whereas the Election Commission is satisfied that owing to the declaration of the 28th May, 1964, as a public holiday the counting of votes at the said bye- election may not be completed before the 30th May , 1964 and a postponement of the date of completion of the election is necessary;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 153 and sec- tion 30 of the said Act, the Election Commission hereby extends the date before which the said election shall be completed to the 5th June, 1964 , and directs that, in each of its notifications No. 100 / RJ - HP/1 / 64 ( 1 ) and No. 100 /RJ - HP/ 2/ 64 ( 2 ) , dated the 22nd April , 1964 , for the words " 30th May " the words " 5th June" shall be substituted .
