NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 29th May 1964
S.O. 1893.- Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the late Department of Mines and Fuel ( Ministry of Steel , Mines & Fuel ) S.O. No. 1333 , dated the 2nd June, 1961 , under sub - section ( 1 ) of section 4 of the Coal Bearing Areas ( Acquisition and Development ) Act , 1957 ( 20 of 1957 ) , the Central Govern- ment gave notice of its Intention to prospect for coal in the lands in the locallty specified in the Schedule appended to that notification ;
And whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the late Ministry of Mines and Fuel No. S.O. 1496 , dated the 22nd May , 1963 , under sub - section ( 1 ) of section 7 of the said Act , noticenotic was issued specifying a further period of one year commencing from the 2nd June , 1963 , as the period within which the Central Government may give notice of its intention to acquire the said lands or any rights in or over such lands;
And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that in the said lands coal is obtainable the part described in the Schedule appended hereto:
Now, therefore , in exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of sec- tion 7 of the said Act , the Central Government hereby gives notice of its inten- tion to acquire the rights to mine , quarry, bore, dig and search for, win work and carry away minerals in the lands measuring 1093-00 acres ( Approx . ) or 442-67 Hectares ( Approx. ) described in the Schedule appended hereto .
The plans of the area covered by this notification may be inspected in the Office ofof the Deputy Commissioner, HHazaribagh or in the Office of the Coal Controller , 1, Council House Street , Calcutta or in the Office of the National Coal Development Corporation Ltd. ( Revenue Section) , Darbhanga House , Ranchi.
Any person interested in the aforesaid lands may , within 30 days of the issue of this notification file objection to the acquisition whole or any part of the land or of any rights in or over such lands to the Coal Controller , 1 , Council House Street , Calcutta.
