IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

SUBJECT:-Import of ( i) Fruits dried , salted or preserved all sorts n.o.s. excluding Dates ( S. No. 21 ( a ) ( ii ) / IV) , ( ii ) Dates ( S. No. 21 ( b ) / IV ) , ( iii ) Medicinal Herbs ( Crude Drugs ) ( S. No. 87-109 / IV ), ( iv ) Asafoetida ( S. No. 31 ( b ) / V) and other miscellaneous items from Iran during April- Sept . '64 .
No. 53 - ITC ( PN ) /64.-Attention is invited to the late Ministry of International Trade Public Notice No. 36 -ITC ( PN ) / 64 , dated 30th April 1964 regarding import of commodities from Iran during April- Sept . 1964 licensing period . The existing paragraph 5 of the said Public Notice may be deemed to have been substituted by the following paragraph : -
" 5. The import licences issued in pursuance of this Public Notice will be valid upto 30th November , 1964 and should be returned to the licensing authority concerned not later than the 15th January 1965 . Failure to do so will render the concerned importers liable to not being considered for grant of licences , any time after 13th January 1965 when next applications for import from IRAN are entertained , even if he is eligible otherwise" .
