S.O. 2563. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 ( 10 of 1955 ) , the Central Government hereby directs that the power to make orders under clauses ( f ) and ( j ) of sub - section ( 2 ) of section 3 of the said Act shall , in relation to any non - ferrous metal to which the Non - Fer- rous Metals ( Control ) Order , 1958 for the timetime being applies , be exercisable by Shri D. P. Sen Gupta , Assistant Development Officer , Ministry of Steel and Mines ( Department of Mines and Metals ) , New Delhi with effect from 1st July , 1964.

S.O. 2564. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act , 1955 ( 10 of 1955 ) , the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the Non - Ferrous Metals ( Control ) Order , 1958 :-
1. This Order may be called the Non - Ferrous Metals ( Control ) Amendment Order, 1964 .
2. In the Non - Ferrous Metals ( Control ) Order , 1958 , for Clause 2 ( a ) , the fol- lowing clause shall be substituted , namely :-
" ( a) "Controller " means the Assistant Development Officer in the Minis- try of Steel and Mines ( Department of Mines and Metals ) . "
