NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi, the 5th August 1964
S.O. 3745.—Whereas a vacancy his, incurred in the .seats allotted to the State of' Rajasthan in the Council of States by reason of the death of Shri Vijay Singh;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section of (1) of Section 147 of the Representation of the People Act, 195l, the Election Commission hereby calls upon the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Rajasthan to elect, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the Rules and Orders made thereunder, a person to fill the vacancy so caused before the 29th August, 1964.

S.O. 2746.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 39 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 the Election Commission hereby ap- points for the election to the Council of States to be held in pursuance of its noti- fication No. 100/RJ-CS/1/G4U), dated the 5th August, 1964.—
(a) the 12th August. 1964. as the last. date for making nominations; (b) the 14th August. HUH. as the date for the scrutiny of nominations, (c) the 17th August. 1064, as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures; (d) the 24th August, l964, as the date on which poll shall, if necessary, be taken; and
(e) the 29th August, 1964, as the date before which the election shall be com- pleted.
