S.R.O. 23 - E. In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to sub - section (1) of section 15 of the Cantonments Act , 1924 ( 2 of 1924 ) , the Central Govern- ment being satisfied that it is necessary in order to avoid administrative difficulty, hereby extends the term of office of all the elected members of the Cantonment Board , Khas Yol, for a period of six months from the 26th August 1964 , or until the date of notification of election of their successors under sub - section (7) of section 13 of the said Act , whichever is earlier .
