S.O. 2988.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 2 ) of section 1 of the Companies (Amendment ) Act, 1963 ( 53 of 1963 ) , the Central Government hereby appoints the first day of December , 1964 as the date on which the provisions of section 8 of the said Act shall come into force .
