IMPORT TRADE CONTROL
New Delhi , the 18th September 1964
SUBJECT:-Imports- Imports from U.S.A. under AID Loan Nos . D.L.F. 217 and 082- Maintenance of records by the importers .
No. 78 - ITO ( PN ) /64.-Import licences for machinery , components , raw materials etc. against U.S. AID Loan No. DLF 217 or AID Loan No. 082 have been issued from time to time subject to the terms and conditions set forth in Public Notice No. 74 - ITC ( PN) / 62 , dated the 26th June , 1962 and Public Notice No. 62 - ITC ( PN ) / 63 , dated the 21st June , 1963 respectively . One of the conditions is in regard to the maintenance by the importer of books and records relating to the acquisition , dis- position etc, of the itens imported under the licence . It has been decided that such books and records shall be maintained by the importer upto the end of 1971 in the case of licences issued against AID Loan No. DLF 217 and upto the end of 1972 in the case of licences issued against AID Loan No. 082. Accordingly the following amendments to the aforesaid Public Notices ( i ) No. 74 - ITC ( PN ) / 62 , dated the 26th June, 1962 and ( ii ) No. 62 - ITC ( PN ) / 63 , dated the 21st June , 1963 are notifled :-
(1 ) In clause ( xiv ) of the Appendix to Public Notice No. 74 - ITC ( PN ) / 62 , dated the 26th June , 1962 :
Delete the second sentence commencing with the words " Such books and records shall be maintained ," and ending with the words "or Implementation Letter " and in its place substitute the sentence "Such books and records shall be maintained till the end of 1971. "
( li) In clause ( xviii ) of the Appendix to the Public Notice No. 62 - ITC ( PN ) / 63 , dated the 21st June , 1963 :
