New Delhi , the 9th October 1964
S.R.O. 28 - E. - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of sec- tion 2 of the Armed Forces ( Emergency Duties ) Act , 1947 ( 15 of 1947 ) , the Central Government hereby declares the following services to be services of vital importance to the community , namely :-
Services connected with such operations of the Cochin Port as are consi- dered by the Commodore - in- Charge , Cochin, as essential operations .
