New Delhi , the 13th October 1964
G.S.R. 1504. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Essential Commodities Act , 1955 ( 10 of 1955 ) , the Central Government hereby directs that the powers conferred on it by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 3 of the said Act , to make orders to provide for the matters specified in clause ( c ) of sub- section ( 2 ) thereof, shall, in relation to rice , paddy and indigenous wheat , be exercisable also by the Governments of the States ofof Bihar,Bihar, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh , Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh within their respective jurisdiction :
Provided that such power shall be exercised by the said State Govern- ments according to such directions as may be issued by the Central Government in this behalf.

G.S.R. 1505.-In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Essential Commodities Act , 1955 (10 of 1955) , the Central Government hereby directs that the powers conferred on it by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 3 of the said Act , to make orders to provide for the matters specified in clause (c ) of sub- section ( 2 ) thereof, shall , in relation to rice and paddy , be exercisable also by the Governments of the States of Orissa, Punjab and Rajasthan within their respective jurisdiction:
Provided that such power shall be exercised by the sald State Governments according to such directions as may be issued by the Central Govern- ment in this behalf .

G.S.R. 1506.-In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Essential Commodities Act , 1955 ( 10 of 1955 ) , the Central Government hereby directs that the powers conferred on it by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 3 of the said Act , to make orders to provide for the matters specified in clause ( c ) of sub - section ( 2 ) thereof, shall, in relation to paddy, be exercisable also by the Governments of the States of Kerala and Madras within their respective jurisdiction :
Provided that such power shall be exercised by the said State Governments according to such directions as may be issued by the Central Govern- ment in this behalf.
