ORDER
New Delhi , the 23rd October 1964
G.S.R. 1547. In excrcise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 ( 10 of 1955 ) , the Central Government hereby rescinds the Rice ( Uttar Pradesh ) Price Control Order , 1963 , published under G.S.R. 1617 , dated the 4th October , 1963 , in the Gazette of India Extraordinary [ Part II Section 3- Sub- section ( i ) ] dated the 4th October, 1963 :
Provided that such rescission shall not affect-
( a) the previous operation of the said Order or anything duly done or suffered thereunder ; or
(b ) any right , privilege , obligation ог liability acquired , accrued or Incurred under the said Order ; or
( c ) any penalty , forfeiture or punishment incurred in respect of any offence committed against the said Order ; or
( d) any investigation , legal proceeding or remedy in respect of any such right , privilege , obligation , liability , penalty , forfeiture or punish- ment as aforesaid;
and any such investigation , legal proceeding or remedy may be instituted , con- tinued or enforced and any such penalty , forfeiture or punishment may be imposed as if the said Order had not been rescinded .

The Issue No. of the Gazette of India Extraordinary , Part II- Section 3 ( i ) , dated 16th October 1964 , page 747 , containing Ministry of Food and Agriculture (Department of Food ) Notification No. 203 ( Asm ) ( 1 ) /744/64-Py.II , dated 16th October , 1964 , may be read as " 157 " in place of " 147 " .
