ORDER
New Delhi , the 24th October 1964
G.S.R. 1548.-In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act , 1955 ( 10 of 1955 ) , the Central Government hereby makar the following Order to amend the Southern States ( Regulation of Export of Rice ) Order , 1964 , namely : -- 1. This Order may be called the Southern States ( Regulation of Export of Rice ) Amendment Order , 1964 .
2. In clause 4 of the Southern States ( Regulation of Export of Rice ) Order, 1984 , in paragraph ( iv ) , the word " or " shall be inserted at the end and after that paragraph, the following paragraph shall be added, namely:-
" ( v ) which has been purchased by a person from a Central Reserve Depot in any Specified area for the purposes of distribution under the super- vision of Government in any other Specified area :
Provided that such rice is exported under and in accordance with a written permission granted by the Regional DirectorDirec ( Food ) , Madras , or an officer authorized by him in this behalf ." .
