New Delhi , the 12th November 1964
S.O. 3950.- In pursuance of sub - rule ( 1 ) of rule. 4 of the Indian Standards Institution ( Certification Marks ) Rules , 1955 , as amended in 1962 , the Indian Standards Institution hereby notifies that the Standard Marks , designs of which together with the verbal description of the designs and titles of the relevant Indian Standards are given in the Schedule hereto annexed , have been specified.
These Standard Marks , for the purpose of the Indian Standards Institution (Certification Marks ) Act , 1952 , as amended in 1961 , and the rules and regulations framed thereunder , shall come into force with immediate effect .
