New Delhi , the 13th November 1964
S.R.O. 30 - E . In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses ( a ) and ( b ) of section 31 of the Cantonments Act , 1924 ( 2 of 1924 ) , the Central Government hereby makes the following rules regulating the division of the Shahjahanpur Cantonment into wards and the determination of the number of members to be elected by each ward , the same having been previously published as required by the said section , namely :-
RULES
1. Short title . These rules may be called the Shahjahanpur Cantonment ( Divi- sion into wards ) Rules , 1964.
2. Division of Cantonment into wards. For the purpose of holding elections to the Shahjahanpur Cantonment Board , the Cantonment of Shahjahanpur shall be divided in the following wards namely:-
Ward No. I
Ward No. II
Ward No. III
Ward No. IV
Ward No. V
3. Boundaries of wards . The boundaries of each of the said wards shall be specified in the Schedule to these rules .
4. Number of members to be elected. The number of members to be elected from each of the said wards shall be as shown below: -

THE SCHEDULE
(See rule 3 )
Ward No. I. This ward consists of Mohalla Dillazak and Reserve Police Lines .
The boundary of this ward starts from between Cantonment boundary pillar Nos . 61 and 62 on Nehru Road viz . 137' south of Cantonment Boundary pillar No. 61 running southward along Nehru Road goes upto Cantonment boundary Pillar No. 66 ( situated on south- west corner of Mohalla Dillazak ) then takes its turn towards east along Grand Trunk Road to pillar No. 67 situated at south - east corner ofof Mohalla DillDillazak then turning northward along Factory Railway sid- ing goes upto stone boundary pillar situated on the north - east corner of Reserve Police Lines wherefrom it takes its turn westward along the northern boundary of Reserve Police Lines and meets the point at 137 feet south of Cantonment Boundary Pillar No. 61 on Nehru Road .
Ward No. II . This area consists of I.I. Bazar Cantonment Police Chowki , Cantonment Fund Quarters , Hydel Colony, Sarda Canal Colony , Hydel Division Colony and Ordnance Clothing Factory Staff Quarters comprising block numbers 51 to 58, 200 to 202 , 246 to 248 , 300 to 303 and MES Colony .
The boundary of this area starts from point 137 feet south of Cantonment boundary pillar 61 , runs northward along boundary pillars from 60 to 38 , then runs southward along Nehru Road till it meets its junction with Rani Laxmi Road, runs eastward along Rani Laxmi Road upto its junction with Rajaji Road , then runs north along Rajaji Road crosses its junction with Patel Road , runs eastward upto the junction of Rajaji and SubhashSubha Road , then runs south along Subhash Road till itsits junction with Gandhi Road , runs westward along Gandhi Road crosses its junction with Cariappa Road , runs further westward along Maharana Pratap Road till it meets the rallway track , the boundary then turns southward along the Railway track uptil the stone boundary pillar ( situated at the north - east corner of Reserve Police Lines ) and runs westward along Bazar Road till it meets the starting point 137 feet south of boundary pillar 61 .
Ward No. III . This ward consists of North - west portion of Factory Estate .
The boundary of this ward starts from Cantonment boundary pillar No. 35 goes southward along Patel Road meets Rajaji Road at its junction with Rani Lakshmi Road ( beyond Factory Gate) then taking its turn westward along Rani Laxmi Road meets Nehru Road . Therefrom it turns northward along Nehru Road reaches in between Cantonment boundary pillar Nos . 37 and 38 wherefrom it takes its turn eastward and goes upto Cantonment Boundary pillar No. 35 .
Ward No. IV. This ward consists of Colony Staff quarters lying to the south of the main Factory area .
The boundary of this ward starts from the southern junction of the Railway track and Maharana Pratap Road , runs northward along the Railway track tili it meets the junction of Maharana Pratap Road and Rajaji Road at the Railway line, runs east along the Gandhi Road till its junction with Cariappa Road runs south along Cariappa Road till it meets Factory link Road opposite Factory Bungalow No. 23 runs along this Factory Link Road and runs southward along the Factory Link Road in front of Blocks 220 to 227 , and 228 to 235 till it meets Maharana Pratap Road .
Ward No. V. This ward consists of Civil Bungallows , Mau Village , Supply Depot, Post Office, Dak Bungalow , MES Office and Inspection House , Station Club , Cantonment Office , Military Lines etc. and also includes the Factory Staff Quar- ters bounded by Maharana Pratap Road , portion of two Factory Link Roads and Cariappa Road .
The boundary of this ward starts at the junction of Cariappa Road and the Factory Link Road opposite Cantonment Board Office , runs along thethe Link Road leaving the Water Reservoir to its north till it meets the other Link Road , then runs southward along this Link Road till it meets the junction of Maharana Pratap Road , runs along Maharana Pratap Road to the north- west till it meets the Rail- way track, runs south along the railway line till it meets boundary pillar No. 68, situated at the south - west corner of Supply Depot runs from Cantonment Boun- dary Pillar 69 to 77 and then to boundary pillar No. I situated just opposite to THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY

Lodhipur Octroi post wherefrom it runs from pillar to pillar upto pillar No. 35 and going southward along Patel Roadto the east where it meets Rajaji Road turns eastward till its junction with Subhash Road , then it turns southward along Subhash Road goes upto its junction with Gandhi Road near Bungalow No. 23. It then turns westward along Gandhi Road , goes upto its junction with Cariappa Road , turn southward along Cariappa Road till it crosses the Factory Link Road opposite Cantonment Board Office .
