New Delhi , the 28th December 1964
G.S.R. 1847. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Essential Commodities Act , 1955 ( 10 of 1955) , the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the Order of the Government of India in the Ministry of Food and Agriculture ( Department of Food ) No. G.S.R. 1840 , dated the 22nd Decem- ber , 1964 , published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary [ Part II Section 3 sub- section ( 1 ) ] of even date , namely : -
In the said Order , for the words "regulation of movement of paddy" , the words " regulation of movement of paddy and rice" shall be substituted .
