S.O. 4405. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 22 of the representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints , in addition to the officer appointed vide its notification No. 100 / MD- CS / 3 / 64 ( 5 ) dated the 30th December , 1964, Shri G. Raghavan , Assistant Secre- tary , Legislative Assembly Department , Madras ,to assist the Returning Officer for the election to the Council of States to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 100 / MD -CS / 3 / 64 ( 1 ) dated the 30th December , 1964 , in the performance of his functions .
