S.O. 464. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of Section 5 of the Iron Ore Mines Labour Welfare Cess Act, 1961 ( 58 of 1961 ) read with rule 31 of the Iron Ore Mines Labour Welfare CosCess Rules,, 1963 , the Central Government hereby specifles Shri Shantaram S. Kantak , Mining Enginder , Depart- ment of Mines , Government of Goa , Daman and Diu to be the Iron Ore Mines Cess Commissioner who shall be responsible for the assessment and collection of the cess levied under the said Act in the Union Territory of Goa , Daman and Diu .
