IMPORT TRADE CONTROL
New Delhi , the 24th March , 1965
SUBJECT . Import of small size loud speakers by small scale manufacturers of transistor radios during April , 1964- March , 1965 .
No. 18 - ITC ( PN ) /65.-Attention is invited to Annexure to Appendix 4 to the (current Red Book as amended in which the Import policy for licensing of raw materials / components to manufacturers of Valve type Radio receivers , Janta Radios ( low priced sets ) and Transistor radio receivers has been indicated,
2. It has been represented that the small scale manufacturers are experiencing difficulty in the procurement of loud speakers of small sizes required for the manufacture of transistor radios particularly the portable ones . The matter has 'been considered and it has been decided to relax the import of small size loud speakers by the small scale transistor radio manufacturers to the extent as indicated below:-
1. Valve Type Radio Receivers and Janta Radios ( low priced sets ) .
The import of the loud speakers of sizes less than 4" may be allowed within the value of 50 % portion of the licence endorsed for the import of components of manufacturing transistor radios subject to the condition that the value of the loud speakers to be imported should not exceed 5 % of the endorsed value which 1s 50 % of the total value .
2. Transistor Radio Receivers .
The import of loud speakers of sizes less than 4 " may be allowed within the value of the licence Issued for the import of components for manufacturing transistor radios subject to the condition that the value of such loud speakers to be imported should not exceed 5 % of the face value of the licence ,
