8.Β.Ο. 3 - Ε .-In exercise of the powers conferred by section 60 of the Canton- ments Act , 1924 ( 2 of 1924 ) , and in supersession of the notification of the Gov- ernment of India No. 1481 dated the 4th November , 1939 , imposing a house tax in the Ambala Cantonment , the Cantonment Board , Ambala, with the previous sanction of thethe Central Government, hereby imposes house tax at the rate of 9 per cent on the annual value of the buildings situated within the limits of Ambala Cantonment :
Provided that a rebate of 14 per cent on the said annual value shall be allowed payment of such tax is made with thirty days from the date of service of the All under section 90 of the said Act .
