G.S.R. 537.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 2 ) of section 1 of the Foreign Exchange Regulation ( Amendment ) Act, 1964 ( 55 of 1964 ) , the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st day of April , 1965 , as the date on which the said Act shall come into force .
