NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi , the 14th April , 1965
of sub - section ( 1 ) Central Govern- rule 30B of the G.S.R. 590.-In exercise of the powers conferred by clause ( b ) of section 40 of the Defence of India Act , 1962 (51 of 1962 ) , the ment hereby directs that the powers exercisable by it under Defence of India Rules , 1962 , in respect of those persons in the State of Maha- rashtra , who have been directed by the Central Government , under clause ( b ) of rule 30 of the Defence of India Rules , 1962 , to be detained , shall also be exercisable by the Government of State of Maharashtra , subject to the condition that save in the case of serious illness of a detenu or any member of his family , such powers shall not be exercised by the Government of the State of Maharashtra without the prior approval of the Central Government .

G.S.R. 591. In exercise of the powers conferred by clause ( b ) of sub- section ( 1 ) of section 40 of the Defence of India Act , 1962 ( 51 of 1962 ) , the President hereby directs that the powers exercisable by the Central Government under rule 30B of the Defence of India Rules , 1962 , in respect of those persons in the State of Kerala . who have been directed by the Central Government , under clause ( b ) of sub - rule ( 1) of rule 30 of the Defence of India Rules , 1962 , to be detained , shall also be exercisable by the Government of the State of Kerala , subject to the condition that save in the case of serious illness of a detenu or any member of his family , such powers shall not be exercised by the Government of the State of Kerala without the prior approval of the Central Government .
