CUSTOMS
New Delhi , the 30th April 1965
G.S.H. 666. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 25 of the CusCustoms Act , 1962 ( 52 of 1962 ) , the Central Government , being satis- fled that it is necessary in the public interest so to do , hereby exempts de- mentholised peppermint oil falling under Item No. 31 ( 2 ) of the First Schedule to the Indian Tariff Act , 1934 ( 32 of 1934 ) , from so much of that portion of the duty of customs leviable thereon which is specified in the said First Schedule as is in excess of 40 per cent ad valorem .
