NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 24th August 1965
S.O. 2692.-In exercise of the power sconferred by section 17 of the Export (Quality Control and Inspection ) Act , 1963 ( 22 of 1963 ) , the Central Govern- ment hereby makes the following rules namely : ---
1. Short title and commencement .- ( 1 ) These rules may be called the Export of Zap Fasteners ( Inspection ) Rules , 1965.
( 2) They shall come into force on 1st October , 1965 .
2. Definition . In these rules ' Zip Fasteners shall mean metallic slide fas- teners made from inter - locking metal components mounted on textile tapes .
3. Procedure of Inspection .-The provisions of the Indian Standards Institu- tion ( Certification Marks ) Act , 1952 ( 36 of 1952 ) , the Indian Standards Institu- tion ( Certification Marks ) Rules , 1965 , and the Indian Standards Institution (Certification Marks ) Regulations , 1955 , shall , so far as may be, apply to the Inspection of Zip Fasteners prior to export .
