S.R.O. 16-E.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 40 of the Defence of India Act, 1962 (51 of 1962), the Central Government hereby directs that the powers conferred or duties imposed on it by such of the provisions of the Defence of India Rules, 1962, as are specified in column (1) of the Schedule hereto annexed, shall be exercised or, as the case may be, discharged also by each of the authorities specified in the corresponding entry in column (2) of the said Schedule within the areas (including any Ship, Establishment or Naval Unit) under the administrative control of such authority.
