G.S.R.. 1703. The following rules further to amend the Housing and Telephone Facilities (Members of Parliament ) Rules , 1956 , which have been made by the Joint Committee of both Houses of Parliament constituted under sub - section ( 1 ) of section 9 of the Salaries and Allowances of Members of Parliament Act , 1954 (30 of 1954 ) , in exercise of the powers conferred on it by sub - section ( 3 ) of the said section, after consultation with the Central Government , and approved and confirmed by the Chairman of the Council of States and the Speaker of the House of the People , ass required by sulsub - section ( 4 ) of the said section, are published for general information: --
1. Short title.- ( 1 ) These rules may be called the Housing and Telephone Facilities ( Members of Parliament ) Amendment Rules , 1965.
( 2 ) They shall be deemed to have come into force on the Thirteenth day of March, 1965.
2. AmAmendment of Rule 4. In rule 4 of the Housing and Telephone Facilities (Members of Parliament ) Rules , 1956 , for the words " on"one thousand cight hundred " , the words "three thousand six hundred " shall be substituted .
