SUBJECT:—Import of Ornamental and decorative veneers failing under S. No. 42 (a) (i)/V—during April 1965—March 1966 licensing period.
No. 107-ITC(PN)/65.—Attention of importers is invited to the licensing policy far 'Ornamental and decorative Veneera' given against S. No. 42(a)(i)/V in Appen- dix 4 of the Import Trade Control Book (Red Book) for the current period in terms of which A.U. applications from small scale industries manufacturing cabinets for radios and clocks' will be considered for the import of this item on the recommenda- tion of the sponsoring authority.

No. 108-l!TC(PN)/85.—Attention of the importers is invited to the policy for licensing of Wood and Timber all sorts, n.o.s. etc. (Sr. No. 42(a)(l)/V) to Actual Users in Appendix 4 of the Red Book for April 1965—March 1966 period.
2. On a review of the position it has been decided that 'Hornbeam' wood may be deemed to have been Included in the list of special types of wood such as Birch, Beach, Maple etc., needed for the manufacture of Shuttles and other textile ac- cessories. The relevant remark against Sr. No. 42(a)(O/V in Appendix 4 to the current Red Book may be deemed to have been amendM accordingly.
