ORDER
New Delhi , the 30th December 1965
G.S.R. 1897. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Essential Commodities Act , 1955 ( 10 of 1955 ) , the Central Government hereby directs that the powers conferred on it by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 3 of the said Act , to make orders to provide for the matters specified in clause ( c) of sub - section ( 2 ) thereof , shall , in relation to cholam ,cholam , ragi and other millets , be exercisable also by the Administrator of the Union territory of Pondicherry within its jurisdiction :
Provided that such power shall be exercised by the said Administrator according to such directions , if any, as may be issued by the Central Government in this behalf.
