NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 11th January , 1966 / 21st Pausa, 1887 G.S.R. 80. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act , 1881 ( XXVI of 1881 ) , the Central Government hereby declares Tuesday and Wednesday , the 11th and 12th January , 1966 , as public holidays throughout India on account of the demise of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri , Prime Minister of India .
