IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

SUBJECT. Import Policy for Delivery hose for trailer pumps ( Sr. No. 54/V ) and Hose made of canvas impregnated with rubber ( Sr. No. 55 / V ) - April, 1965-March , 1966 .
No. 13 - ITC ( PN ) /66.-Attention is invited to the licensing policy for S. No. 54/ V-- Delivery hose for trailer pumps and Sr. No. 55 / V- Hose made of canvas impregnated with rubber , in Appendix 4 to the Import Policy Book ( Red Book ) for the current period according to which A.U.U. applications from the fighting services only for import of hoses with a bursting pressure over 200 lbs . per sq. inch will be considered by the Port Licensing authorities and applications for import of other types of hoses will be considered in consultation with the Directorate General of Technical Development .
2. The import policy for these items has been reviewed in the light of repre- sentations received from the indigenous manufacturers and it has been decided that no licence will be issued for import of these items to any category of impor- ters . The entries against S. Nos. 54 and 55/V in Appendix 4 of the current Red Book as well as those against these Sr. Nos . under columns 3 , 5 and 6 in Section II of the current Red Book may be deemed to have been deleted .
