NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 28th January 1966
G.S.R. 156. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 44 of the Food Cor- porations Act,Act, 1964 ( 37 of 1964 ) , the Central Government hereby makes the follow- ing rules further to amend the Food Corporations Rules , 1965 , published with the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (Department of Food ) No. G.S.R. 117 , dated the 13th January , 1965 , namely : -
1. These rules may be called the Food Corporations ( Fourth Amendment ) Rules , 1966 .
2. In the Food Corporations Rules , 1965 , after rule 19 , the following rule shall be inserted, namely: --
" 20. Investment of funds in shares and securities . The Corporation may also invest its funds in the purchase of-
(1 ) securities of the Central or any State Government ;
( it ) shares of State owned or State aided undertakings engaged in the processing of foodgrains and other foodstuffs;
( iii ) shares of any other public or private sector undertaking as may be approved by the Central Government . "
