S.O. 363.—In pursuance of sub-section (I) of section TO of the Delimitation Commission Act, 1962, (61 of 1962), the order made by the Delimitation Commission in respect of the delimitation of parliamentary and assembly constituencies in the State of Maha- rashtra is hereby published: —

WHEREAS the proposals of the Delimitation Commission for the delimitation of parliamentary and assembly constituencies in the State of Maharashtra were published on the 25th March, 1965, in the Gazette of India and in the official gazette of that State:
AND WHEREAS all the objections and suggestions received were considered at public sittings held at Nagpur on the 9th August,

WE HEREBY determine as follows :—
(1) The territorial constituencies into which the State of Maharashtra shall be divided for the purpose of elec- tions to the House of the People and the extent of each such constituency shall be as shown in Table A.
(2) The territorial constituencies into which the State of Maharashtra shall be divided for the purpose of elec- tions to the Legislative Assembly and the extent of each such constituency shall be as shown in Table B.
(3) Where the name of a constituency as shown in Table A or Table B is distinguished by the brackets and letters "(SC)'\ the seat in that constituency is reserv- ed for the scheduled castes; and where such name is distinguished by the brackets and letters. "(ST)'\ the seat in that constituency is reserved for the sche- duled tribes.
