New Delhi , the 1st February 1966
S.O. 424. In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub- clause ( b ) of clause 2 of the Newsprint Control Order , 1962 , No. CH ( 1 ) -18 ( 1 ) / 62 , dated the 17th January. 1962 , the Government of India are hereby pleased to appoint Shri M. L. Tandon, Section Officer , Office of the Registrar of Newspapers for India , Ministry of Information and Broadcasting , New Delhi to exercise the powers of the Controller under that Order .
2. The earlier Notification No. 8 / 26/ 62 - Import , dated the 25th October , 1965 , in so far as it relates to the appointment of Shri D. K. Baisantry for exercising the powers of Controller under the said Order, is hereby cancelled .
3. Shri N. C. Rastogi , Controller of Imports , New Delhi and Shri A. Datta Majumdar, Assistant Press Registrar , Office of the Registrar of Newspapers for India, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting , New Delhi ,I who were appointed to exercise the powers of Controller under the said Newsprint Control Order , 1962 , under the late Ministry of Commerce & Industry Notification No. 8/26 / 62- Import , dated 11th October , 1962 and Ministry of Commerce Notification No. 8/ 26 / 62 - Imp . , dated 12th June , 1964 respectively , will also continue to exercise these powers .
