CENTRAL EXCISES
New Delhi , the 3rd February 1966
G.S.R. 209.-In exercise of the powers conferred by clause ( b ) of section 2 of the Central Excises and Salt , Act , 1944 ( I of 1944 ) , read with rule 4 of the Central Excise Rules , 1944 , and in supersession of the notification of the Govern- ment of India No. 127 /64- Central Excises , dated the 10th July, 1964, the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby invests every officer ofof the Central Excise Department appointed by the President as an Officer on Special Duty in the Central Excise Collectorate , Bombay , with the powers of a Collector of Central Excise, being the powers of a Central Excise Officer under that Act and those Rules, for the purpose of investigation and adjudication of such be assigned to him by the said Central Board of Excise and Customs . cases as may
