S.O. 532. In pursuance of the provisions of section 67 of the Representation of the People Act . 1951 ( 43 of 1951) , the following declaration containing the name of the candidate elected to fill the vacancy in the Council of States is published for general information : -

Election to fill casual vacancy
"In pursuance of section 53 ( 2 ) of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , I declare that Shri Chakrapani Shukla, Baloda Bazar District Raipur ( Madhya Pradesh) has been duly elected by the elected members of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly to fill the vacancy in the Council of States caused by death of Shri Giriraj Kishore .
