IMPORT THADE CONTROL

SUвст. Import policy for buttons falling under Serial Nos . 260 / IV , 326/ IV and 336/ IV and Acrylic Plastic Sheets falling under Serial No. 113 / V for the period April, 1965-March , 1966 .
No. 31 - ITO ( PN ) /68.-Attention is invited to the import policy for buttons and acrylic plastic sheets as given against the above- mentioned Serial Nos . in Section II and in Appendix 4 to the Import Trade Control Policy Book for the year April , 1966-March , 1966.
2. On a review of the position , it has been decided not to allow the import of buttons of all types including plastic buttons to any category of importers includ- ing those under the Export Promotion Schemes.
8. It has also been decided that wherever imports of certain varieties of but- tons are permitted under the Export Promotion Schemes against exports of hoste- ry, graments etc. , the licensing authorities will permit import of the raw material for such bottons viz. , acrylic monomer or acrylic plastic sheets instead of allowing Import of buttons under the said schemes . The entitlement under the export promotion schemes for the import of acrylic monomer or acrylic plastic sheets will be the same as applicable in the case of buttons under the existing export promotion schemes .
