8.0. 1045. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub -clause ( a ) of clause ( 1) of Article 80 of the Constitution of India , read with clause ( 3 ) of that Article , the President is pleased to nominate to the Council of States the following four persons namely :-
1. Shri M. C. Setalvad .
2. Dr. D. R. Gadgil .
3. Shri M. Ajmal Khan .
4. Dr. H. R. Bachchan .
to fill the seats of the four nominated members to the council of States retiring on the 2nd April , 1966 on the expiration of their terms of office .
