G.S.R. 488.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 25 of the Customs Act , 1962 ( 52 of 1962 ) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance ( Department of Revenue ) No. 56 - Customs dated the 1st April , 1994 , the Central Govern nen : being satisfied thatit is necessary in the pubis ter st soon, hereby exemnts Synthetic Fibre Waste ( hard ) , falling under Item No. 53 of the First Schedule to the Indian Tar'ff Act , 1934 ( 32 of 1934 ) , when imported into India , from so much of that portion of the duty of customs leviable thereon which is specified in the said First Schedule as is in excess of the dat leviable on staple Ahre ( excluding yarn ) , falling under Item No. 46 ( 6 ) of the said First Schedu'e which is specified therein.
2. This notification shall be in force upto and iriclusive of the 31st March , 1967 .
