CUSTOMS
New Delhi , the 1st April 1966
G.S.R. 487.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 23 of the Customs Act , 1962 ( 52 of 1962 ) , the Central Government , being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do , hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance ( Department of Revenue ) No. 178 - Customs , dated the 1st July , 1963 , namely:-
(1 ) for the words , letters , figures and brackets " from so much of the customs duty leviable thereon as is in excess of the customs duty leviable on denatured spirit falling under Item No. 22 ( 6 ) of the said Schedule" , the words , letters , figures and brackets " from so much of that portion of the duty of customs leviable thereon which is specified in the said First Schedule as is in excess of the duty of customs leviable on denatured spirit falling under Item No. 22 ( 6 ) of the said First Schedule which is specifled therein " shall be substituted .
( ii ) for the figures , letters and word " 31st March , 1966 " , the figures , letters and word " 30th September , 1966 " shall be substituted .
