CUSTOMS
New Delhi , the 5th April 1966
G.S.R. 539. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 25 of the Customs Act , 1962 ( 52 of 1962 ) , the Central Government being satisfled that it is necessary in the public interest so to do , hereby exempts High Carbon Steel Sheets falling under Item No. 63 ( 20 ) of the First Schedule to the Indian Tariff Act , 1934 ( 32 of 1034 ) , when imported into India for the manufacture of agricultural discs , from the additional duty which is leviable thereon under section 2A of the second mentioned Act :
Provided that the importer by the execution of a bond in such form and in such sum as may be prescribed by the Assistant Collector of Customs , binds him- self to nav , on demand . in respect of such materials including the wastage that occurs during manufacture as are not proved to the satisfaction of the Assistant Collector of Customs , to have been used for the aforesaid purpose , an amount equal to the difference between the duty Jeviable on such materials but for the exemption contained herein and that already paid at the time of importation .
