G.S R. 580. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 2 ) of section 75 read with sub - section ( 3 ) of section 160 of the Customs Act , 1962 ( 52 of 1962 ) and section 37 of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 ( 1 of 1944 ) , the Central Government hereby makes the following fu ther amendments in the Customs and Central Excise Duties Export Drawback ( General ) Rules ,ules , 1960 , namely:-
1. These rules may be called the Customs and Central Excise Duties Export Drawback ( General ) Fortieth Amendment Rules , 1966.
2. In the First Schedule to the Customs and Central Excise Duties Export Drawback ( General ) Ru'es , 1960, for Serial No. 1 and the entries relating there- to , the following shall be substituted, namely : -
" 1 Fabrics , hosiery , Cord, fringes , Watch , Straps , ribbons , tapes , labels , belts , manufactured wholly or in admixture with other yarn , from artificial silk varn of all varieties other than Staple fibe yarn , ready made garments and made up articles from such fabrics .

G.S.R. 581. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 2 ) of sec- tion 75 read with section ( 3 ) of section 160 of the Customs Act , 1962 ( 52 of 1962 ) and section 37 of the Central Excises and Salt Act , 1944 ( 1 of 1944 ) , the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the Customs and Central Excise Duties Export Drawback ( General ) Rules , 1960 , namely: --
1. These rules may be called the Customs and Central Excise Duties Export Drawback ( General ) 42nd Amendment Rules , 1966 .
2. In the First Schedule to the Customs and Central Excise Duties Export Drawback ( General ) Rules , 1960 , for Serial No. 15 and the entries relating there- to, the following shall be substituted , namely : ----
79 per kg . of staple fibre of cellulose origin .
" 15A ( 1 ) Staple Fibre Yarn manufactured ( a) wholly out of synthetic staple fibre of cellulosic origin .
( a) 79 per kg . of Staple fibre of cellulose origin .
(b ) plus 90 per Kg . of var content if the count of th yarn is 51 or more .
(b) manufactured partly out of such staple fibre and partly out of corton provided cotton content of the yarn does not exceed 40 % of its weight and fabrics made therefrom including fabrics containing a mixture of yarn other than Art Silk yarn or Synthe- tic yarn or Synthetic spun yarn .
(c) plus 60 per Kg . of the ya if the count is 40 or mor but less than 51 .
(d) plus 45 per Kg . of y if the count is 34 or more less than 40 .
(e) plus 40 per Kg . of if the count is 29 or but less than 34 .

(f) plus 25 per kg . of yarn if the count is 22 or more but less than 29 .
(g) plus 15 per kg . of yarn if the count is 14 or more but less than 22 .
(h) plus Nil if the count is less than 14 .
(11 ) Fabrics containing Staple Fibre yarn and Art Silk synthetic or spun synthetic yarn .
The appropriate rate shown against (I) plus the amount admissible in respect of Art Silk Yarn Synthetic Yarn or Synthetic Spun Yarn content therein as specified in Serial No. I of this Schedule .
(B ) Staple Fibre Yarn of Non- Cellulose Origin containing mixture of yarn other than Art Silk Yarn :--
( a) Out of wholly synthetic Staple Fibre .
Rs.2.85 per Kg . of Fibre content plusRs . 4/ - per Kg . of the yara Content.
(' ) Partly out of such synthetic Fibre and partly out of natural Fibre , the natural fibre content of such yarn being not more than 40 % and if the non - Cellulose. Staple Fibre Content of it is :-
(i) 50% more
Rs . 2.85 per Kg . of Fibre content plus Rs . 4/ - per kg . on the total weight of the yarn .
(ii ) Less than 50 % but more than 10 %
Rs . 2.85 per Kg . synthetic Staple Fibre content plus Rs . 3 / per Kg . of yarn .
( iii ) 10 % or less .
Rs . 2.85 per Kg . of synthetic Staple Fibre content plus Rs . 2/ per Kg . of yarn .
(C) Partly out of such synthetic Staple Fibre and partly out of Synthetic Staple Fibre of Cellulose Origin if the non - Cellulose Staple Fibre content of it is :
(i ) 50 % or more
Rs . 2.85 per Kg . of synthetic Staple Fibre content plus 79 perKg . of Cellulose Staple Fibre content plus Rs . 4/ - per Kg . of yarn content .
