NOTIFICATION
CENTRAL EXCISES
New Delhi , the 22nd April 1966
G.S.R. 619.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - rule ( 1 ) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules , 1044 , the Central Government hereby exempts printing pastes made from titanium - dioxide or zinc - oxide and falling under Item No. 14 of the First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act , 1944 ( 1 of 1944) from the whole of the duty of excise leviable thereon:
Provided that-
( 1) the appropriate duty on such titanium- dioxide or zinc - oxide has been paid; and
(2 ) such pastes are used within the factory of production by the manufac- turer in the printing of cotton textiles .
1955. 2. This notification shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st March ,
