CENTRAL EXCISES
New Delhi, the 12th May 1966
G.S.R. 717.—In exercise of the powers conferred by aub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, read with sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Mineral Products (Additional Duties of Excise and Customs) Act, 1958 (27 of 1958), the Central Government hereby exempts—
352 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY [PART II-SEC. 8 (1)] Fahrenheit's thermometer falling uader Item No. 10 of the First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944); and(b) Low Sulphur Heavy Stock falling under Item No. 10 of the said First Schedule;
used in steel plants, from the whole of the additional duty of excise leviable there- on under section 3 of the first mentioned Act:
Provided that it is proved to the satisfaction of the Collector of Central Excise that such product has been so used.
