New Delhi , the 13th May 1966
G.S.R. 726-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 25 of the Customs Act , 1962 ( 52 of 1962 ) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance ( Department of Revenue and Insurance ) No. 41 - Customs , dated the 1st March , 1966 , the Central Govern- ment , being satisfied thatit is necessary in the public interest so to do , hereby exempts all the goods specified in the First Schedule to the Indian Tariff Act. 1934 (32 of 1934 ) from the special duty of customs leviable thereon under sub- section ( 1 ) of section 44 of the Finance Act , 1966 ( 13 of 1966 ) .
