New Delhi , the 15th July 1966
S.O. 2135. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - clause ( xi ) of clause ( a ) of section 2 of the Essential Commodities Act , 1955 ( 10 of 1955 ) , the Central Government hereby declares the following commodities to be essential commodi- ties for the purposes of the said Act , namely: --
( i ) General Lighting Service Lamps .
( ii ) Fluorescent Tubes .
