New Delhi, the 11th October 1969

G.S.R. 1601.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments to the Order of the Government of India in the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Community Development and Cooperation (Department of Food) No. G.S.R. 906 dated the 9th June, 1966, namely:—

In, the said Order,—

(1) in clause (a) —

(i) in the opening paragraph, for the words ''thereof shall, in relation to foodstuffs," the words, brackets, figure and letter "thereof, in relation to foodstuffs, and for the matter specified in sub-section (3B) thereof, in relation to foodgrains, shall" shall be substituted.

(ii) in item (2), for the words, brackets and letter, ''under the said clause (d)' the words, brackets, letters and figure "under the said clause (d), or, relating to the matter specified in sub-section (3B) in relation to foodgrains," shall be substituted; ( 773 ) 774 T HE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY [PART II-SEC. 3 (i)] (2) In the Schedule, after Serial No. 26 and the entries relating thereto, the following Serial Nos. and entries shall be Inserted, namely:— Date G.S.R.
