G.S.R. 1623.—The following Order made by the President Is published for general information:—

The States Reorganisation (Governors' Allowances and Privileges) Second Amendment Order, 1966.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 73 of the States Reorganisation Act, 1956, (37 of 1956), the President hereby makes the following Order to amend the States Reorganisation (Governors' Allowances and Privileges) Order, 1957, namely: —

1. (1} This Order may be called the States Reorganisation (Governors' Allow- ances and Privileges) Second Amendment Order, 1966.

(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from 1st April, 1966.

2 In the States Reorganisation (Governors' Allowances and Privileges) Order, 1957—

(a) in the proviso to paragraph 7,(i) in clause (2), after the words "and the Surgeon" the words "and to defray the pension charges to the members of his household staff, who retired before 2nd June, I960" shall be inserted; ( 793 )

794 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY [PART II-6Ea 3 (i)] (ii) in clause (3), for the words "be increased or reduced at any time", the words "be merged in the pay or increased or reduced at any time" shall be substituted;

(b) in the Second Schedule, against the State Kerala, for the figures "80,000" and "36,000" occurring in columns 3 and 7, the figures "60,000" and "55.000" shall respectively be substituted.

G.S.R. 1624.—The following Order made by the President la published for general information: —

The Governor of Gujarat, (Allowances and Privileges) Second Amendment Order, 1966.

In pursuance of the powers conferred by section 44 of the Bombay Reorganisa- tion Act 1960 (11 of 1960) the President hereby makes the following Order to amend the Governor of Gujarat (Allowances and Privileges) Order, I960, namely: —

1. This Order may be called the Governor of Gujarat (ATowances and Privi- leges) Second Amendment Order, 1966.

2. In clause (3) of the proviso to paragraph 7 of the Governor of Gujarat (Allowances and Privileges) Order, 1960, for the words "be increased or reduced at any time", the words "be merged in the pay or increased or reduced at any time" shall be substituted and shall be deemed to have been substituted with effect from the 1st April, 1966.
