New Delhi , the 31st October 1966
G.S.R.1670-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 3 ) of section 81 of the Punjab Re- organisation Act , 1966 ( 31 of 1966 ) and all other powers enabling it in this behalf, the Central Government hereby determines that the strength and composition of each of the cadres of the Indian Administrative Service and the Indian Police Service for Delhi - Himachal Pradesh and for the States of Punjab and Ilariyana shall , as from the rst day of November , 1966 , be as specified in the Table annexed hereto , and accordingly , the Indian Administrative Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength ) Regulations , 1955 and the Indian Police Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Regulations , 1955 , shall stand amended as hereinafter provided , namely :-

In the Schedule to the said Regulations :-
(1 ) For the entries relating to " Delhi - Hirmachal Pradesh " , the entries shown at Part I of the said 'Table shall be inserted ;
(2) After the heading " Gujarat " and the entries relating thereto , the heading and entries shown at Part II of the said Table shall be inserted ;
(3 ) For the entries relating to " Punjab " the entries shown at Part III of the said Table shall be inserted .
INDIAN POLICE SERVICE ( FIXATION OF CADRE STRENGTH) REGULATIONS , 1955
In the Schedule to the said Regulations:---

G.S.R.1671 - In exerexercise of the powers conferred bysub - section (4 ) of section 81 of the Punjab Reorganisation Act , 1966 , ( 31 of 1966 ) , the Central Government hereby directs that the members of each of the Indian Administrative Service and the Indian Police Service specified in column 2 of the table below and borne immediately before the Ist day of November , 1966 , on the Punjab cadre of those services shall , as from that day , be allocated to the cadres of thesaid services specified against their names respectively in column 3 thereof .
